What aluminum casting alloy is recommended for anodizing?

Aluminum castings are challenging to anodize because they are often porous. The alloy preferred for anodizing castings is 518. C443 is also a good option, but it is not inherently corrosion resistant.

There are also other aluminum alloys preferred for painting since paint pretreatment will attack a poor casting similar to anodizing chemicals.
